Description

This was painted in about 10 hours yesterday in PS7 with a tablet. It's very small in size because it has been painted for an ecard project that I am working on. I only set out to make a fairly rough painting as I have about another 80 to do, but I am pleased with the result. Photo reference used for the figure and the Brigid cross

Thanks for the crit. Yes, you're right about the crown as it was worked on least but I thought I'd better get on with the next one. Hopefully i'll have chance to revisit it later and make it better :)

outer corner of her right eye is too high, bring it down & get rid of , like 1/5 of it, gonna look much photographic. Crown is depose cause it s geometry doesnt fit with the head simply. you need to practice basic geometrical shapes in different angles , more maybe.Like putting an onion ring or else with ring shape on top of an egg will help you to see how elliptical curves comes up in different angles in different placements, so on..Another thing; if you want to place your figure off the center, you should balance it , some way.

After all,I like the impression on her face and overall mood of the picture very much.

ah yeah, i've just realized that the crown has candles on top,

may be u can put a fire-extinguisher (same color w/hair) on a far distance with blurred effect to achieve a little color balance in the picture..

Again, I like the impression on her face and overall mood of the picture very much...

Hey indy, thanks for the *interesting* crit. Maybe you should post some of your work. I'd really love to see it. The candle crown is part of Wiccan ritual for Imbolc and fortunately most High Priestesses don't need a fire extinguisher during the ritual so I won’t be taking you up on that suggestion. The finished card is balanced by text and other imagery but I didn’t think the entire card was appropriate to post as a painting.

Thanx for the info about the ritual, i've learned quite something today. And for the extingshr. ; its obviously as innocent as your expln. for the finished card. You should have post it as whole, you would save us from making unnecessary crits. .Make sure we can distinguish which part is painting , which part is what.
By the way, I understood that youve found my crit so 'touchy' that u checked my works as well.
Any way, kidding again, yea I know ,get there nothing yet. Next week , as you say, "u will love to see them"., keep on tracking.

And sorry for occupying your comments place for several times.

I think u know what I like most so far...
